The Ultimate Dubai Stopover Itinerary

48 Hours with Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab

For many Australians heading to Europe, the journey can feel endless. A Dubai stopover is the perfect way to break it up, and with the recent opening of Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, there’s now a luxurious new reason to pause and recharge before continuing your travels.

Just 25 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this striking, super-yacht -inspired property rises gracefully beside the iconic Jumeirah Burj Al Arab. Inside, you’ll find spacious and beautifully appointed rooms and suites, a gorgeous spa and a collection of world-leading restaurants, as well as some of the best views of the Persian Gulf. Here’s how to spend two memorable nights in Dubai with Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab.

Day One: Settle In and Reset

Breakfast: The Fore

After your overnight flight, begin with breakfast at The Fore. This airy dining space blends local and international flavours with views of Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and the yacht-filled marina.

Morning: Pool and Talise Spa

With 14 hours of travel behind you, a morning spent unwinding is exactly what you need. Recharge at Talise spa, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab’s three level wellness sanctuary, with a facial, massage or private hammam experience. Alternatively, you can switch to do-not-disturb at one of the resort’s four stunning pools.

Lunch: Iliana

Beachside, breezy and family-friendly, Iliana brings Greek flavours to life. Choose from a set lunch menu or Thego a la carte with fresh seafood, mezze and grilled meats, all paired with delightful ocean views.

Afternoon: Jumeirah Beach and the Marina

The afternoon is best spent at the resort’s private beach, Jumeirah Beach, where you can soak up the warmth and sea air. Stretch your legs with a walk around the marina and be sure to enjoy a relaxed coffee stop along the way.

Dinner: The Bombay Club

Dinner is at The Bombay Club by Chef Manav Tuli, where Western Indian recipes meet gymkhana elegance resulting in flavourful innovative creations. If jet lag still lingers and hunger returns, head to Umi Kei between 10pm – 11:30pm for a delicious bowl of late-night ramen.

Day Two: Explore and Indulge

Breakfast: Pierre Hermé Paris

Keep breakfast light and sweet with a pastry from the hotel’s elegant lobby lounge. Created by Parisian pâtissier Pierre Hermé, these delicate croissants, éclairs and macarons are just the right size to fuel a busy morning.

Morning: Wild Wadi Waterpark or Explore the City

Guests staying at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab enjoy complimentary access to Wild Wadi Waterpark, just minutes from the hotel, for a fun morning of wave pools, water slides, rides and lazy rivers. Alternatively, swap swimsuits for sandals and head downtown to the Burj Khalifa for panoramic views and explore Dubai Mall next door for luxury shopping, ice-skating and more.

Lunch: Kira

Back at the resort, Kira blends Japanese and Mediterranean influences, think sushi alongside mezze and dumplings alongside pasta – a crowd-pleaser for every palate.

Afternoon: Sunset Yacht Cruise

For something extra special, rent one of the resorts yachts and take to the water for sundowner drinks and chef-prepared canapes. Watching the sun set over the Persian Gulf is a certainly a romantic and memorable start to your holiday.

Dinner: Rialto

Enjoy a pre-dinner drink at The Fore Bar, a chic yet welcoming space for all ages before sitting-down at Rialto. This Italian restaurant features epic handmade pastas, wood-fired pizzas and rich gelato, a fitting finale to your Dubai stay.
